Its for a 1979 Honda Minitrail. Its a 70 cc motor, thats the reason I'm posting here. THe plug hole threads are stripped totally. The plug that is there slides in and out.
I have heard about hellicoils but never used or seen them. Is that my only way, or can I tapp new threads to fit a bit larger plug?

I would say there is definatly a fix. I imagine there is a repair kit for this. http://www.timesert.com/html/sparkplug.html

 

you have two choices, one is to replace the head, the other would be helicoil, the helicoil can be done while the head is still on the engine, but must make sure you clean up the chips completely. you can buy the helicoil kit from all most any auto parts store or on line, all you need to know is what plug size to buy.
