Just curious to know the difference between the 01 scrammy and the newer ones. I have an oppertunity to get a reasonably priced one. It said 500x is it a HO shaft or chain drive?

buy it you'll like it... It has a metal oil tank, later models have plastic tanks, also has fox remote res rear shock and late models dont...

 

I was thinking about this for the wife to ride. I have a 97 400L. I just don't like how stiff the suspension is. I upgraded my front struts to that of an 01 scrammy that way they would be long travel and all. It just seem stiff as a board to me. I really need to freshen up my motor it is 100% origonal and still runs with the best of them. I was thinking of selling it for around 1200-1500 and jumping on the scrammy deal and being done with it. I am sure I would spend just as much on the 400L to get it where I would like to. BTW 2500 for the scrammy and it has 50hrs what do ya think?
