I kinda was going a little too fast and i kinda rammed into a tree. So i kinda have a smashed bumper. Whats everyones favorite bumper!? I dont know if i want another aluminum one. Unless the steel ones can bend the frame if i do this again. So whats best aluminum, or steel? And which brand all i can find is DG!

 

umm... i build my own.. b/c the polaris and aftermarket ones are overpriced and underbuilt. If you build it or have someone build it, be sure to put in shearing bolts so if you do hit a tree the bumper will be only slightly and the shearing bolts will break or bend-- has worked for me so far[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

 

Sounds to me like it did its job. Saved you and the bike form major injury.

 

it sure did do its job. but i would rather not buy a new bumper every time i hit a tree. and slowing down is out of the question.

 

You must still be in your 20 somethings or younger. I miss thoes days. IT takes to long for me to heal up to do that type of stuff anymore.

 

If i was you, i would build your own, like duffus said, shear pins would be a good idea as well, if you plan on running into trees more. making your own is easy, all you have to do is take some measurements and then have your way with it, make it like you want it, compeletly custom.
