when using your winch to pull out another quad is it better to set your brake and let the winch do the pulling or to unspool the cable and use the quad to pull??

You never use the quad to pull witht the winch hooked up. Use the power of the winch and set the brake.

If you want to pull with your quad get a tow strap or ****** cord. They can take the shock load of the ****** far better than the cable on your winch and will not act like a ship if they break. The Cable on your winch is not designed to handle a shock load of a ****** and pull.
