I'm gonna need taller aggressive tires to keep up with my friends so I decided to go with 22" rears and 23"fronts. The razr2's look great and you guys seem to love em (been doin searches) but they are pretty expensive. I was also thinking of either bearclaws or another mud type tire on the back but I'm worried about loosing most of the sportiness and also the ride quality, but they are almost half the cost of the razr2's. That's making it hard for me to justify the cost. I'm on kind of a tight budget but I can definatly swing it if need be, I just wanted to know what you guys thought. I still want to ride fast and have fun with it.
Also, where is the cheapest place to buy tires and also the sprocket set I'll need to "re-gear" this quad?
Thanks for all your help guys!!!

I've got Razr2's all the way around. They are tough and hook up very well and seem to last a long time. I get all my parts and tires from www.rockymountainatv.com

rockymountain is a great place to do your shopping. and razr2's are worth every penny of em. some people might prefer razr's or iRazrs or holeshots over anther certain type. but its all rider preferance and all these tires are the same...kind of.

What about the sprocket and chain sets. Also, how hard are they to install? I'm mechanically inclined, but this is my first quad.
Anybody with mud tires on the back of their sports?

I have the 22 inch Razr 2's on the back and Razr 2's on the front of my 400EX. I'm running 14 tooth front sprocket and a 39 rear sproket. You will be fine with just changing the front to the 14 tooth. I do a lot of tight trail riding and hill climbing with this set-up and it works great for me. Easy to change the sprockets also. I've tryed the holeshots XCR tires and the ITP Mud lites on the rear and like my Razrs a lot better. Very good tire - two thumbs up!!!

We ran a set of Dirt Devils on my sons 300ex for awhile. They worked well in the woods, but anywhere else they just didn't handle to well. On hard pack, the would spin and slide alot. We switched to a set of Carlise (sp?) S-hook tires. These work really well, but they are the only set I've ever seen or even heard of. They were supposedly designed to compete with the razr2's and irazr's, but were a whole lot cheaper, and they are radials. We have 20's, but they are about 1 1/2" taller than our 20" razr's.
