Kolpin fuel pack?
#1
Thinking about adding the Lock & Ride rear hard box for use on a few long rides. I want to add supplemental fuel storage as well and am thinking of the Kolpin fuel pack. I would really like something like the Monster ATV Box and Fuel Tank. I like the way that the fuel cans mount and the huge amount of storage. What I don't like is the price and you lose the convenience of the Lock & Ride. I couldn't figure out how to hotlink it so you will have to copy and paste.

I will probably go with the Lock & Ride box out back and was wondering if anyone has used the fuel pack vertical racks mounted behind the box? If you mount the fuel pack up front, do you recommend the front rack extension?

I recently purchased the Kolpin atv fuel pack and two verticle carriers so I can mount it behind my rear rack. I haven't finished installing it yet... but I found out that I will have to remove some material from the carrier brackets so they will clear the rear rack extendor. Not a big deal. I also have been thinking of getting the lock and ride rear cargo box and back rest... but it is pretty expensive for that back rest though. I'm going to check out the Kimpex boxes also.

I just ordered an 800 EFI and tried out sitting on it with the Polaris cargo box and rear backrest. There just wasnt enough room for a passenger to fit, unless it is for a small child. I really wanted the cargo box but decided to order the Kimpex rear seat/box, that has a gas can storage build-in behind the rear backrest. The can only holds 4 litres, about a gallon. Box & gas can cost under $300.00.
