i wanted to try and put taller tires on my 02 scrammy without new rims(cannot afford tires w/ rims). Has anyone tried taking the stock rear tires(22-11-10) and putting 23-11-10 and on the front, change from a 23-7-10 to a 24-7-10. Has anyone done this? Will it work or would i have problems in my front differential when i am in 4x4?

Thats what most people do. Just long as you keep the front 1" higher than the rear.

 

yeah keep the front one inch higher. alot of people have actually had pretty good success like this and no problems at all.

 

ok, thats what i thought but i was just making sure. Because the tires on then are just a little to small looking, especially when u have the rear rack, and i didnt wanna have to buy rims also cuz im cheap and polish and ill just pound the dents out and put the new tires on the old rims. Also, how are those bearclaws on scramblers in the mud and sand? its a choice right now between them or mud lites. I orginaly wanted gators or mudbugs but it looks like they will handle and wear bad.

 

i have the bear claws and they are an all around awesome tire. just got back from oregon and they did pretty good in the sand, nothing compared to paddles though. they are great for mud. having them all around makes a big differnce compared to just the back
