Default Hows she gonna hold up for me??

I jsut traded my 04 raptor 350 in for an 06 yfz. Was jsut wondering how the yfz will hold up during normal trail riding conditions. I take very good care of my stuff, religious with oil changes. How long will this stock motor last before ima need a rebuild?? ive heard that the yfz will chew up rings and needs em every 40-50hrs with avg riding! what do u guys think?? I cant see y yamaha would build something that would need to be ripped apart and built back up every other ride

I'll give it 5 minutes before it explodes and kills a family of beavers... jk. beavers are tough little buggers, they'll probably be fine.

You need to stay on top of the oil changes and valve tolerances. If you are not racing, then I would think you will be OK even up to 100 hours. Try on some of the YFZ specific sites, and you will get plenty of guys running even longer than that between rebuilds.
