Hey all just picked up a 2001 ETON THUNDER NXL 90cc (2 stroke) for my son and was wondering if anyone knew how to limit the speed on it?? I dont see a screw on the throttle like on others. Any ideas? Its way too fast for my 7 year old. TIA

 

Should be easy to drill and tap a hole for a screw and lock nut like the ones that do have the limiters on the throttle. That would slow the little fella down until he got used to it.

 

Ok ill have to try that, unless i just pick up a Chinese model throttle with it already on it and try to make that work? thanks

 

On the cdi box there's numbers 1-7. 1 is the slowest and 7 is the fastest. You just need a small flathead screwdriver to turn it to the number you want.

 

look on the carb. it may have a throttle stop screw on it as well

 

I have a 50 cc that's around a 2005 and it has a box down below the handlebars with the 1-7, it's basically like a rev limiter. I also have a 90 that is around 2007, it has the same only its under the seat.
