My friend has a 2006 250ex that wont start he said "after i try to start it a couple of times i just hear like a tickin sound comin from the battery"

im gonna try and fix it tommorrow but i was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on what to do.

Sounds like friend is cranking the engine over until the battery is low on voltage. Charge the battery and check the spark plug. As long as the machine hasn't been sitting, the first thing to check is spark. Your friend probably fouled the spark plug, its easy to check and cheap to replace. A good place to start.

 

Get that wheeler on top of a hill and get it rolling down in neutral put in first or second gear and let off the clutch fast and hit the gas. This is your back up starting system. ride it a while 30 minutes or so shut it off and try to re-start it. If it starts right up it's your battery was to low figure how it got that low. try that let me know what happened. GOOD LUCK!!!
