I'm making my first atv purchase..I have rode motorcycles many years and several friends four wheelers... So I do know how to ride... Here is my delema... I have been looking into 2 four wheelers..a 250ex and a wolverine... First things first. Heres what I need: reverse, shaft drive, small frame, speed and agility... I am 5' 8 135# and don't want a gigantic monster to ride.. I drove a 2001 250ex and it was fun as I'll get out, but I'm afraid it will get too usual... The majority of the trails I ride on is tight quarters with very few full throttle runs.. I am more of a honda fan than a yam fan...(never owned or rode a Yami)...
The honda was so fun I could cut up on in and spin it around with a breeze.. I don't want a two stroke either... Please give me your opinions on the wolverine and the 250ex.. or any 4 wheeler you might think would be a good purchase...Money is not a problem here... So anything you all come up with is welcome as long as you think it will fit my needs... I want a quad that will handle good.
I'm just so confused...[red]HELP PLEASE[/red]
Thanks Jim

Try a 300ex or kawasaki lakota sport, because a lot of people say that the 250ex cramps your legs and the hard seat is not for long rides. You could, if you want to try it, try an auto such as a trailboss or rubicon, but whatever you get, hope you are happy with it

Living in Alabama mud could be a problem.
Wolverine is 4x4. You should look at models that
shift from 2wd to 4wd. When in doubt go with the
largest motor. Good luck with your choice.
Have fun & ride safe.

By the sounds of the type of riding you are going to be doing and what you're looking for in a machine the Yamaha Kodiak might be your ticket.
