Will an '87 cr motor fit in a '86 250r frame without havving to modify anything?? I can get a super sweet deal on a built 330 if it fits.

 

Yeah it would fit,The 250r motor is actually a cr250 motor but in a quads fram

 

I wouldn't use it if i were you. The 250r motor has a counterbalancer, whereas the motor from cr does not. It will vibrate the hell ot of you. Not to mention the effect the effect it will have on your frame and other components.

 

the 250 r motoor is not the same as the cr . the cr has a different stroke lenth plus no conter balance and will shack you to peices. cr bolts through the swing arm on the bike. the quaD BOLTS BUT IT CAN BE DONE. GOOD LUCK. IT WILL RIP HARD JUST VIBRATE.
