I was wondering what the deal is with the speed limiter on the king quad? will a power commander do away with it? if so what is the top speed?

 

72, PC will not alter it which is good because a stock KQ has no business over 72.

 

my king quad shuts down at 53 MPH what is going on? Its an 06 King quad.?????

 

Have you ever had water or mud in your tranny? Sounds like you have mud in the clutch and it is not allowing it to open all the way and get into high gear. If that is not the case you need to get it to the dealer and have them look at it. The stock king speed limiter is like CBF2 said 72 mph.
