Flat Sand/dirt drag racing tips!!?
#1
I have a pretty much stock DS..ported intake, 46HV, ODP disc cap. I'm running 22" 8 paddle Haulers for sand and stock Ohtsu's on dirt. I'm looking for some free advice, tips etc. on how to best launch my DS on sand and dirt. I'm talking suspension, gearing, technique, tire pressure, Lectron carb settings..anything that might help. Even after my Lectron was put on last weekend, I have a pesty, slightly moded Predator that stays pretty close...he needs to go down! The Lectron is pretty explosive off the line and I want to make sure I'm getting all that new power to the ground!
Any Help would be great!

My bike is almost completly stock. outside of an ODP End Cap. I am running 22 stars. I went to a 15 tooth sprocket in front and a 42 tooth sprocket in back. In the sand I am able to launch in second gear, which is an incrediable help..

Make sure not to over rev too much and as far as tires you will need to play with the the pressure a bit. ITs really all about the lauch and staying in the meat of the motor. Only other thing I can tell you is after you lauch get your but back as far as you can to get all the traction you can. Good and the more you do it the better you will be. Good luck and give em hell.

Where's all the Sand Draggers?? With such little response, you'd think there was some big race going on that everyone's at??
