Default Outlander 650 or Rincon 650

I am looking at buying a brand new utility atv and have narrowed it down to these two. The outlander is getting great hype but is it actually all that and is the rincon not even close to it. Any advice would be great and or information regarding the outlander .

Default Outlander 650 or Rincon 650

Speedrocks:
There is absolutely no comparison. I have ridden all the different quads in this class and the only stock rec utility machine that can top the Outlander 650's power, performance, and ride is the Outlander 800. The throttle response on the Outlander 650 will amaze you. If you have not had a chance to ride all the different rec utility quads in the 650-700 class go to a local dealer and try them out. You will understand what I am saying once you ride them. Plus you will probably have plenty to add.
Anyone that tells you differently probably owns the Honda and does not want to admit that they purchased an inferior rec utility quad.

For the same price go with the Outlander(I own an 05 Rincon btw). The reason I got my Rincon last year was Honda was blowing out the 05's and I didn't want to wait until this year to get an Outlander as I couldn't get exact confirmation they were coming out with a 650. I got my Rincon for about 2K below MSRP.

The Outlander has a superior 4WD(visco loc), low gear and great engine braking, it's also a V-twin vs. a 680 single. Those are the major differences between the two, the Outlander is just more versatile then the Rincon. Both are solid and comfortable to ride as well as reliable. The Honda features an automotive type auto/elec. shift tranny, you can go from full auto to a 3 speed thumb shifter, kind of a neat idea, the shifting literally feels like a car.

Both are great machines but dollar for dollar, you get much more with an Outlander.

The Outlander definately has more features. I think Honda simply is marketing the new Rincon to Honda owners because other then EFI and the addition of disc brakes they didn't do a whole lot to upgrade the new Rincon. For the casual/beginner rider the Rincon is a bit more user friendly and a little less intimidating then the Outlander.

For the market leader Honda doesn't seem to be putting much R&D into their ATV division.

I had a Honda, and like them. I am extremely bias for AC, but an outty would blow me away all the way through the powerband. They excell in almost everything. The only things i have that beats outty is ground clearance, travel, and the speedrack options. But outty is very powerful. If raw power is your thing, go outty! I dont think they are in the same league as rincon, meaning go with outty.
