ds rear spring

Default ds rear spring

would having the stock rear spring on upside down affect anything at all

Why do you say it is on upsidedown? On mine I know the rear shock only goes on one way.

i kinda have the same question. my 03 baja and my 03 viper the springs ride at the top of the shock on my 05x the front springs ride at the bottom of the shock kinda like they put them on upside down. is that correct?

The less the unsprung weight, the fastet the suspesion can react. If the shock reservoir can be mounted in the inverted position, its always better that way. But not all shocks can be mounted upside down.

the front shocks on my 05x are upside down and my 03s are the other way. is there any difference in the shocks from year to year.

Scott, the X shocks are competely different on all years. Tell you what, ship them X shocks to me, and i'll ship my 03's back to you, that way you have matching pairs.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] lol

WIth the DS had rebuildables front shocks, just sucks that they are not bad shocks at all.
I did find a guy who can modify then for rebuilding but buy the time you do it you can buy Works with out rezzies.
