What are the pro's and con's of the 1988 banshee?

Default What are the pro's and con's of the 1988 banshee?

I found a 1988 banshee near my area and i was wondering what the.What the pro's and con's are of 1988 banshee?Is worth my time and money(1800 bucks)?How is the susiension also is it the 8.7 in of travel up front and back or is it the,9.1 in of front tavel and 8.7 in of travel in the back?Also how are the frames are there any weak spots?Thanks

Default What are the pro's and con's of the 1988 banshee?

Biggest cons I can think of are an upper J arm and the chain adjustment. The J arm is somewhat weak compared to an A arm. No matter what year Banshee you get, the chain adjustment flat out sucks.

I say if it runs decent and is in reasonable shape, buy it for the at price.

Besides the A arms/J arms the Shees havnt really changed any... from 87 to 06. Besides the "new smell" same bike =p. lol
