I messed up and let a friend ride my quad that I thought knew how to ride. Well he didn't and my quad is at the local Suzi dealership and I am waiting for the quote. He tried to jump through a tree! Luckily he was only going around 5mph when he hit it so he wasn't hurt (other than some bruising and soreness and being scared hitless that I was going to put him in the hospital). I know the headlight and bumper are trashed but am scared that the frame took a hit as well. I have modded it for more than stock speed, nothing drastic yet, but Alba pipe, jet, procomm CDI and rectifier. If the frame is trashed I would like to replace it with an aftermarket one but don't know who makes a good one. Any suggestions?? I have googled and can't find anything but Werkz Racing, still waiting a response from them.

One more question, if I end having to get a stock frame is the gusset kit really worth it and should I get it powder coated?

 

gusset kits are well worth the money. and I would powdercoat it since its apart
frames they have a good frame but its not cheap
there is other places but cant remember where. do a search and you might find more

 

When i totaled mine, the insurance company scrapped the entire machine. Im not sure if you'll be able to just buy a new frame. They won't even let you have it for parts.

 

Thanks Mucky. Yeah the lonestar chassis is cool but a bit pricey for me right now. Will have to await the outcome of the dealership inspection. Hopefully there will be no chassis damage.
