Default HELP!!! With An 05 Kingquad

I have an 05 Kingquad with Twin Air, HMF pipe and a power commander. I have had the PC for about 500 miles and the quad has ran EXTREMELY well until this past weekend. Now the bike will NOT idle and is a total pain in the *** to get started, if you can even get it to start. Once you get it started it will run fine until you stop and it tries to idle again. Then it cuts off. What could this possibly be? I hate to take it in somewhere and run up a huge bill over something possibly simple. I had the map installed I got from DaveAsh and it was working fine. I tried to reload the map and all but it still didn't work. I'm at a loss of what to do next. Any ideas? Also, I have changed the plug so that's not the issue this time.

Have you tried running it with no PC at all?

Default HELP!!! With An 05 Kingquad

Have you had it an any water or mud lately? Is the CHECK indicator on in the display? I would try it with out the PC just to get the process of elimination started.
Thanks
David

Default HELP!!! With An 05 Kingquad

The Check light did come on. I didn't even know the quad had one. I have had the quad in deep water and mud everytime I ride it. Do you have any idea what it might be? I unplugged the PC and got it back running this morning but it feels so weak without the PC installed. Could you by any chance give me a few pointers?

Default HELP!!! With An 05 Kingquad

It stopped it when I unplugged the PC. I got it all hooked back up tonight after I dried out all the connections. It appeared to me that it was water in one of the PC clips. I hooked everything back up and waterproofed everything I could with dielectric grease and tape. It ran fine again after I installed the map. HOWEVER, in the process I noticed that one of my rear CV boots is split open. I have not been impressed with them from Day one. They were always sucked in and sliding off and all sorts of other things so actually this is no surprise. So now I get to see if I can find some new ones so I can join the big ride this coming up weekend. Maybe you can send me in the right direction to finding me a new one.

Look at the CV boot post on here. Tha might be your best and fastest option.
Glad you got it back working.
