Default Kazuma / Redcat Auto Choke and Carb

All,
Does anyone know where I could buy a good Carb for my new Kazuma Adult 250? One that will mount right on and go....one that is of quality? The stock carb is a monumental failure.

I know that i8amm used a 34mm on his 250 Falcon. If I remember correct he had to change to a twist throttle with it.

you really don't want to use a 34mm carb on a stock 250, you'll loose all the bottom end performance

Dealer told me yesterday the stock carb is just below average. He is researching alternate. I have got some from different threads.

We have some of the Sun L 200cc Enduro's [chinese made] here in Michigan, and we just cant get the darn things to idle correctly, they are brand new too. We've adjusted the air/fuel mixture screw as much as we can but they still dont want to idle correctly. Im thinking that maybe a differant carb is in order for a fix.? No air leaks that I can detect either.

Someone said something about a jel pack needing to be burt out of the carburetor before you can adjust them correctly. Never heard of that before?I've run the darn thing for at least a half hr so far, seems like this gel pack would be burnt out by now?

Anyone?

Have you taken the float bowl off yet MUDDY4LIFE? Some carbs do come with a gel pack and some dont. The problem is if it has one and you try to rev it up befotre it dissolves. The gel gets in the jets and needs to be blown out with carb cleaner. Id pull the carb off one clean it, you should be good to go from there.

MWQ,
I've heard about this gel pack but I dont understand WHY someone would install that in a carb bowl for? What real purpose is it there for in the first place? How dod you get rid of it without screwing up the rest of the carb?

Sir,
They say it keeps the carb interior from getting bounce around and preserve the interior. I know other will disagree with me, but I don't care about the gel pack, the carb is inferior. I think these guys have a work around, but I wish they would just sell me one direct that was proven to fix the issues. This will be there downfall if they don't respond. Regarless, you have it and try the work arounds. Keep your head up...SEADAWG
