Default Venom Winches

Has anyone bought a Venom Winch from Ebay? I was wondering because I am going to buy one, and wanted to know if they are a good winch for the money

I puchased the Gorilla winch from EBAY (its like a Warn) Bolted directlt into the factory LE bumper, it was a piece of cake. It seems to work well, I am certain the life span will not as good as a real Warn

v2 ive got one and its done the job so far. i bought the 3000lb and it bolted right up. easy wiring its gotten me out of some sticky situations the only thing i had trouble with was it winding back up for the first few uses it had to be guided back in or it would be a mess couldnt use the free spool because it was so entangled in itself but it seems to have corrected itsef and keep it wound up tight when not in use i didnt and it ended up with slack in the reel and was just spinning until it was tight again but definately make the purchase you wont regret it. oh the only other thing is you will now be the designated puller i use my winch for everyone else even people i dont know and only 2 time for me these cats go through everything

Thanks for replies. I think i will get it, and i think you will have the "slack and tangle" with every winch. My buddies Warn does the same thing, but it works fine. You can hear it when hes pulling, it hits slack spots and pops once in a while

i got the 3g gorilla and it bolted up easy and works great. Only problem is the cable is too short at 30 feet

I moight the 2000lb winch and have used it to pull out my buddies and myself. Definitely worth the money. I thought about replacing the cable with the synthetic rope. Does anyone have any comments about the rope?

There was a thead awhile back about the synthetic rope. You might do a search and find it.

Synthetic rope won't rust, tear, or fray. It is stronger, lighter, and safer as if it breaks it won't snap back like the cable. Two thumbs up from me. I wil be getting mine this fall.
