Remove the filter and try it. that'll tell you if it's the filter.
It's so new that it's hard to imagine any clutch problems but it is possible.
Try the filter. We'll go from there.

Took air filter off and problem is still there. It does not seem to be as bad today??? Could something of got wet when we washed it? The quad is still under warranty should I have it looked at? (1 more month left) How long should the clutch and belt last?

Does the motor rev up fine when you throttle it up?

If so, you may have an issue in the CVT clutch area.... maybe the belt is stuck or went bad somehow, got water in the clutch springs to cause an issue.... it shouldn't happen from washing if you havn't messed with the CVT gaskets or removed any of the protective covers....

I'm constantly messing with my son's predator 90's clutch springs/variator weights to get that little extra during races. It may be that the belt isn't moving up and down the slids in the CVT....This would cause the bike to rev up but not really have any power to the tires...

Hope this helps.

Took it to the dealer. He said, "wow he must of been in some deep stuff." ???? I said no just a couple puddles. Nothing deeper than the bottom of the rim. I was riding with him the whole day. The dealer took off inspection plate and blew some air in and it is fine. Then he wanted to charge me $32.00. OMG that had to take you all of 4 mins. He replied, " it was not covered under warranty." I said lets call the Suzuki rep and see. We will do it as a custmer service call and it was free. It runs fine now. I think it was from washing it.??? Thanks for the help guys.

$32 for a BJ!?!?!?! Did he at least look you in the eye afterwards???? Sorry.. couldn't resist... I'm glad to hear that you didn't pay it.... that's bs..... but for next time, you now know....

After a while you will see that the bike is going slower and slower no matter if the motor revs up. It's because the shoes on the clutch will wear with time against the bell housing. It's like a drum break effect... but with the CVT clutch, as the motor revs up the clutch spins causing the clutch arms to expand outwards and make contact with the bellhousing, thus causing the rear tires to spin.

This is just normal wear and team with CVT clutch quads.

Ya, this can happen, after years of hard riding anyways.
Actually if it appears to be getting slower, it will be a front roller problem. This will take a while also but is common.
Glad to hear it was a simple fix.

My sons lt80 has the same problem after he rolled it over in a creek. I changed oil, air filter, spark plug and it starts and revs fine but has no power to make it move. When I hold it up in the air and rev the engine the wheels turn, but when you add some weight it doesnt move. I am thinking that maybe the drive belt is loose or something....
Any ideas please...

Try taking off the inspection cover 4 bolts by foot peg. (left side when sitting on ATV) Inspect belt and clean the water and dirt out, and blow off with compressor air. This is all they did at the dealer. He showed me how to do the above steps. Good Luck, Wild
