Default 2000 DS650 Bump steer

I installed adjustable upper A-arms and adjusted the camber and caster (camber -3', caster +6', toe-out 1/8"). It help a little, but not enough. I'm going to try some more tweaking later. I set the quad at my ride height (removed the front springs and added weight to the rear for the correct height). the steering is still twitchy on dirt roads at speed and wants to rip the bars out of my hand if one tire hits a bump. I think a stabalizer is the way to go with these beasts. I finally took it out to the dunes (Glamis, my first time and that place is freak'n huge. I've been going to Dumont) and had a blast!!!! My previous ride was a Warrior 350. One thing I noticed with the DS, it doesn't like to turn when I'm on the gas. Does the front end REALLY need to be on the ground for it to turn I had so much fun. The more I hammered it, the more it would ask for. And let's not mention the subtle exhaust noise from the Woods pipe, I'd start it up at camp just so I could hear it some more.

there was some reports years back that said the kenda were part of the problem if you still have those, and that a switch to 23 inch front tires helps a lot.

Try giving it a littl emore negative caster. When I spoke to ASR they said about -7'. I have noticed that having a lower rear... ie more negative caster makes the steering oh so buttery... the only problem was I was eating chain rollers like funnel cakes at the fair... Try a little more negative caster. That should do it.

Hi! Camber should be no more than 5 degrees negative, Caster is up to you, but up to 7 or 8 degrees positive is within reason and 1/8 inch toe in each side!
