Default new project on the way

i know what i wanna do. I wanna get either a trx250r or a lt250r and slowly build one of them up into fast, reliable, good handeling machine. 1 question which one shoud i choose??? I can get either one for the same price. It seems that there's more parts out there for the honda and their cheaper too. Any input would be nice. Thanks.

Personally I like the LT better.. but the honda has a huge aftermarket and is probably way cheaper.. Money wise I would go with the honda!

Well i whent to check out an R and had a week momonet. Now I'm poor again, but I think its for the better. I got an 86 trx250R, it came with brand new douglas rims and razers, Ct racing full exhaust, Duncan racing reeds, and a high compresion piston.

He may have pulled the wool over your eyes if he told you it has a highcompression piston. To my limited knowledge there is no such thing for the 250R

The guy didn't seem to know much about the machine. When he got the mods for it he basically whent into the dealer and said, "I want more power" He then brought in this machine and all the performance parts installed where done by the dealer. it may not have been a high comp piston, but maybe light weight, that makes the most sense to me. Thanks

Probably milled the head down to raise your compression.
