Default what is stock HP rating for 700r Raptor?

Hi peeps. My first time on the forum board. i am an enthusiatic new owner of a 2006 raptor. It has maybe 2 hrs on it so far. I tangled with my sons honda 450 hrc and came off mine and now have a hurt leg from having it get caught under the wheel of my raptor while passing in a tight place my sons honda. My leg is elevated now and I'm taking anti inflammatory medicine to reduce the swelling. That happened 22 March 20 minutes after I took it out the first time. hence, I have purchased all the body armor for riding agfgressive in the future. My harley boots hgott chewed up under the sand paddle that got my leg. please, for those wanting to climb on one of these, be preared for some real torque. mine isn't even broke in and it beat the hfc equiped honda 450R when my grandson (age 10) raced his dad with my raptor. I am truly impressed with this ATV. Question. I have looked everywher on the web for the last few days, and cannot find any info on what the stock HP is on the 700r. I have seen where I can increse HP by 13 horses with a mod for exhaust, intake and chip. It caqn beincreased 23 HP by a bore kit t0 740. So, what is stock HP?

Thanks, I am looking for a more precise number, like what a factory setting would be. I think my sons honda 450 with the HFC kit is 50 HP and it has 12:1 comp ratio and higher revs. I figured the raptor with higher displacement and fuel injection to post up a bit closer to the honda, but thats just a hunch.

As you might detect, I'mlooking for some bragging rights. Memorial day I will have this out at Sand Mountain in Utah with some very fast bored and stroked hondas and I do want to know where it stands when the camfire bragging starts.

maddog is right most dyno charts show it as about 38 - 40 stock. You maybe mislead by its massive amount of torque

Thank you maddog and quadbike. I'll say 40 at the campfire. For sure this thing has torque to spare. I love riding it. I just got my skat haulers for the rear and mohawks for the front mounted on douglsas 160's . I hope it does well in the dunes this weekend. The only thing I'll do to it now is pipe it. I like the stock pipe but if I pipe it and let it breath better, I can get to 50+ HP. Since I only have a couple hours on it, I'll wait until "break in" is wrapped up. Dealer said to keep it less than 1/2 throtlle for first 10 hours. What was he thinking? This thing screams to go fast. But it will be broke in fast enough.

Thanks again.

this is a nice website. glad I found it.

I will consider comp gear when it is broke in and when I have been severly embarassed by my raptor, which isn't the case so far. Now to explain; My son rides a hopped up honda 450r 2006 with all the right gear, shocks, light wheels and tires and HRC kit ----- the raptor beat it only 2 hours old. his 10 year old son (who has been riding a yfz450 for two years now) I am much bigger than my grandson and less experienced. It certainly got the attention of his father and that tells me the raptor must have some serious power advantage. By the end of my chincy 6 month warrenty, i will have the combo pipe, intake and chip on it. Thansgiving holiday will be much different than memorial day,as long as I can keep it in one piece.
