honestly tripleshot, its always measured at the crank. you lost anywheres from 8-12 hp from crank to the wheels so.... that puts you around 38-40 hp which would be correct. and if you still think im lying go take ur bike and race a bike that dyno'd at 50hp and race, you'll eat so much roost it wont even be funny

Try racing some 50 hp bikes, you'll soon see the difference is more than 2 hp.

I will be up against more 50+ horsepower machines on Memorial day at Sand Mountain, utah and have every condidence the guys I rrun with will do very well beating the stock raptor. 3 450 hondas I know of in our camp are bored and stroked ,piped and set for competiton and can take anything not using NOS. That is why I am wanting to know as much as I can about Raptor numbers. There is a 450 bored to 530 and another that 560. They run 110 octane.

Here is a dyno chart of a stock 700 raptor that shows it right at 40. It also has the dyno for a pipped and fuel management system on it showing close to 50.

ok i keep reading about people saying im'a get a pipe and gain 12 hp. You will not gain 12hp from a pipe alone over max hp, but you will gain up to that were the power drops off over 6500rpm that is where the increace is at so if you have stock which all i have read says 42 hp at the wheeles you mayend up with 46-47 at most. But where as when you are at 7800rpm you will go from like 30hp up to like 42 hp. hope this helps

I was at 45hp on the dyno with my pipe filter and FI controller. Now I am at 50hp with 12:1 piston and head porting. (stock cam) I went out for my first time with the piston and porting last weekend and I was FAST! These dyno numbers are at about 5000ft. I also go to Sand mt utah. My 700 is the one with the fenders all cut and red flames on white plastics. See you on Memorial day!

I've been looking at the 700Rs, lately. Might have to pick one up after reading this thread. These damn boards are gonna make me spend all my money, LOL.
