Default Water in the KQ Clutch?

This past weekend we went riding and all of us with the KQ's had to drain the clutch cover because of the water. I have been in the water over the rack's and it never hurt it, no water then. When we all whent down alittle stretch of creek that the deepest spot was 12" at the max. I got water in this thing. The guy's with the kaws. in the group never had this problem. It feels pretty stupid to had to get pulled out of a creek with a rock bottom whith a foot of water in it. Has anybody figered out a way to fix this. How about the lag problem? Sometimes when going through the woods and you want to through a little mud at a buddy and thing dies when you hit the throttle, then the bullseye is on you. I have only 85 miles on this thing and haven't had alot of good to say about it besides the 4X4 works good. A buddy has 135 on his and it's in the shop for them to figure out why it will only move in 4X4 and not 2 wheel drive. Soud to me like a ring and pinion or trans. We use these from work and play. thanks for your help.

Default Water in the KQ Clutch?

Unless you factory snorkels have came loose, you should not have gotten water in the clutches. Unless you were driving fast through he water and some splashed into the snorkel. The snorkel is just under front rack level and you should have gotten water in if you were above the racks before. The only way to stop water from coming in is to redo the snorkels and bring them through the plastic and higher than you would ever get in water.
You should take the cover off the clutch and clean the clutches since you have had them wet. You may have some dirt in them that will cause problems. You can find a tech tip on the NYROC site that tells you how to clean the clutches.
Thanks
David
