I believe that the sprockets are 14/36 ????? or at least I thought I heard that somewhere. If the tranny ratios are the same as the z, then you could get almost 79 mph at 9500 rpm
I also heard top speed was around 70.
I don't care about top end, I still want to get one.

You'd be about maxed out at 77 Check this out I believe stock rev limit is 8500 rpm, that gives you 77.76 mph in 5th at rev limit.

Nobody is saying the ltr450 is slower, the top end is lower. It's faster to get there. Too bad they don't have a calculator for the ltr yet.

So your buddy drops 8 grand and the first day he's out there running it as fast as it will go?

i ran 22's on my ds650 and i could pull 79 mph, but that was at 6500 rpm now with 20's i can run 79 again but at 7900, what im saying is the 18 inch tires are really slowing it down compared to a Z with 20's. It maybe not be that fast top end but its got good acceleration

You can go all out- turbo, nitrous, anything and everything you want- but if you don't change the gearing (or raise the rev limit) the top end will not be any higher than stock. It will be a lot faster to get there, but top end will be no different. By gearing I'm talking about the sprockets, most people don't mess with the transmission gearing.
