Default warrior/raptor fog lights?

I tried to help my buddy install some car (12V) fog lights(halogen) on his
03 raptor 660 last night(cheapies, $20 from WalMart)....We didn't have any luck...Has anybody added
additional "cheap" lighting to their warrior/raptor w/ any success? We could get the power rocker switch
to light up, but not the lights...Any thoughts?
Neither of us wanna spend $150 plus for light replacement kits you find online....Just curious...

You wired the lights up wrong, there's no reason that they wouldn't work when wired up properly, the lights will work the same as on a car. Check everything again, and make sure you have the lights going to both the switch and to ground.

Just use caution when using the lights, the stator can't supply enough current for a set of 55 watt car lights plus the current draw of the stock lights. Use one set at a time, or get lower wattage bulbs for the driving lights that you're adding, or you'll end up with a dead battery.

So adding two 55 watt h3 car fog lights to a warrior that has no lights shouldnt cause a problem. right??? Also any one find desent lights that work (cheap) oh and its an 87 warrior so the mounting is different but i have no problem fabbing something up.

Yeah, that would be no problem. I'm getting ready to order a set of lights on ebay for my warrior, they're copies of the trailtech and lazerstar lights, and cost less than half as much. You'd have to fab up a bracket, but it shouldn't take much more than bending a straight brace and cutting off some of the extra. here's one of the ebay listings for them. I'm taking off the big stock headlights, and i'm still deciding if i'm going to put these mounted to the steering stem, or down below the front fenders sort of like they are on the banshee in the pic

If you don't want those for whatever reason, there's plenty of other options. You could go to anywhere that sells auto accessories, even walmart, and pick up a set of driving/fog lights that you like better.
