Hi everyone, my first post on this site. My son's 2003 KFX 80 started leaking oil all over the back of the engine shroud.
It seemed to be coming from the spark plug rubber gasket that had popped off when he was riding it hard. I took the plastic engine shroud off and found a lot of oil all over the cylinder, head, and case, is this normal? It would make sense that if it was normal that the fan would be blowing oil out of the spark plug hole if the rubber gasket came loose. The ATV runs just fine.

 

Oil on the top of the motor is not normal. Maybe a head gasket leak.
If the oil is actually comming out from the exhaust, then that would be normal.
