My brother jumped then rolled my quad.

Well, as some of you know I broke my wrist after a sudden stop coming down from a wheelie. I had bent the left side of the handlebars when I came back down and landed on that side. They didn't rotate and it was fairly easy to bend them back most of the way.
I keep my quad at my little brother's house, because I don't have a garage. He'd rather ride my quad than his, so when I'm not there he rides mine. (He's got a 400ex, but now he wants a z or a ltr450) There's an off camber hill where he's driveway to the back of the house and the lawn meet. The point where we jump onto his lawn is about 45 degrees, but the angle increases to the right as does the height. When you don't hit it just right, it starts pitching and turning to the left in the air. It's probably about a 4 to 5 foot grade change at that point. It's a weird jump to hit, I usually only get from 3-5 feet of air off of it. My little brother has been trying different approaches to get more speed, but you're kind of limited because you come around a corner right before the jump. Ok, now that you can kind of picture it here's the story he just told me.
He was playing around jumping it after work, while his wife was videotapeing their son in the back yard. They were coming up to watch "Daddy" jump and she was going to video him jumping when she got up there. As they were walking up (Camera not running yet) my brother hit it hard. He didn't hit it just right, so it was turning to the left mid air and pitching. Oh, I forgot to mention earlier- he's been hitting it hard enough to jump his Jeep. With the approach to this jump, that's high. Anyways, he lands about 25 feet from take off point. Problem is, because of the turning and pitching, he lands it on just the right side wheels, briefly bicycles, then rolls it completely over him and then back onto the left side again. Popped some of the plastics off and scratched them, bent and rotated the bars, and the starter button is real hard now. Guess I'll have to update later when I find out more. My brother's ankle is twice the normal size, so he may have sprained it.

It's my brother, so I don't really care as long as he's ok. He's got another baby on the way so I'll just fix whatever's wrong with it.
It does suck though. Hopefully I'll get back to work soon and start making some money. When I do, I'll probably give my wife the z and get an ltr450. I let her try it a few times and she likes it.

That really sucks man. I am glad that you and your brother both are okay. I feel your pain. I returned home last year from Afghanistan and all of my guns, tools, mowers, and my truck had been loaned to/borrowed by family while I was gone to keep it from being stolen or unserviceable by the time I got home. I got it all back of course. My new Husky chainsaw wasn't so new any more, all of my hand tools were long gone (I think a contractor who worked on our house got out with them), and my mowers were falling apart. With the exception of the tools, no one did anything to intentionally slight me but it still sucks having your stuff wrecked. I am usually pretty **** about the maintenance on my stuff. My guns had been stacked in a closet and the stocks and finish on several are pretty beat up. I was beside myself. The good thing was, my family was still there waiting for me and I am still able to enjoy all of the things I enjoyed before. Everyone is okay, and he can make it up to you by helping with the labor to fix it. Let us know what you need to get it back up and running. How long until you can return to work?

I know what you mean about being ****. I keep a lot of stuff at my brother's house, because I live in a townhouse. I used to spray my mechanic tools with wd-40, and keep them all in order but I've given up on that because when my brother uses them they usually end up all over the place and it'll take hours to find them all. I used to keep all my carpentry tools clean and in their cases. That hasn't worked out either, LOL I'm the same way with the work I do. And my guns get completely stripped, not just field stripped, and cleaned and oiled whether they've had 1 shot or 100 shots fired.
From what he's saying, it doesn't sound too bad. I'll have to replace some things, and the plastics are scuffed in two places. I'm going to get 3 different grits of plastic polish, and get it back to new again.
