ok i have been playing with this problem for a while.my 2001 raptor has been running rich.i have rejetted it with a dyno jet kit and it had run rich every since well i got out the trouble shooting page and read it for the symptons that it had it said to drop the needle down to notches.i did this and the bike ran very well but the header pipe was glowing red.i got the bike on a long road and held it wide open the turn it off and coast to a stop.i pulled the plug out and it look good it was the color of chocolate milk.is this normal the bike ran the best it had every ran but i don't want to hurt the motor.thanks for any help

 

It's normal for some bikes, some don't do it and some do. Just go by how it rides and your plug chops.

 

It's perfectly normal....and btw, do a search.
