Default Are all pipes created equal??? Scrambler 500

Gentlemen, I have an 05 scrambler that I would like to put a pipe on and probably jet. I have heard many good things about the product "dial a jet". apparently it makes adjustments quite easy (good for me as I am not mechanically inclined) From what I gather, the full exhaust provides more power gains than a slip on. Is this correct? Secondly, Are there large differences in performance from one exhaust to another? If not, perhaps I should I just let my dealer pick one out? I am planning on having my dealer do the work, to avoid voiding my extended warranty. Currently my scrambler is stock except for a clutch kit. Any advice would be appreciated.....

Any good brand of pipe for the 500 is ok best to stay with Aaen,White Bros,FMF for the slip ons but the full systems from HPD or HSP offer a slight more gain but not enough for me to justify the extra cash.As for jetting go with the HPD airbox mod kit and a Dial-a-jet.

White Bros. E-Series is what I run on my 500 & love it. The ability to adjust the sound & power level is a huge plus.

Stvreilly, I'm from HSP our kit full exhaust kit for the 500 scrambler comes with proper jetting, we also offer a slip on but jetting changes are not needed with that. We do suggest making cluthcing changes wit our kit as well you shoudl also know that a cluthc kit for a stk. bike can be different form a biek with a pipe or other mods, You may not need to get a new kit entirly but you might have to change a spring or weights. I see your from NJ and the dial a jet may work but you will still have to get a base line jettign set-up for what ever pipe kit you go with. We mainly use the dial a jet for riders who ride in a wide range of elevation for example 0'-5000'. For you I would not suggest getting the dial a jet becasue once you have you base line you shouldn't need to re-jet unless riding in the winter time bellow 30 degrees or @ a high elevation.
