I'd go ahead and get your cylinder bored and get an oversized Wiseco piston. If you can while you got it apart get the cam too. The std. bore Wiseco will improve power throughout the entire powerband. I get all my stuff from Magicracing.com or motoman.com

I have the wiseco high compression piston. I say go for it while you got it apart. There isn't a huge power gain, I think it's something like 1.5 hp, but the biggest advantage is that it makes the engine rev twice as fast because of how much lighter the wiseco piston is.

You won't even notice the power gain no, but like recon99 said your goin to hit the rev alot faster espeacially 1st gear u will u will notice it, thats all you will notice. I took the carb off mine when i got the Wiseco high compression and dremaled (pollished) the back side of the carb. for better air/fuel flow, cut 2 coils of the spring, and i noticed it hit the rev alot quicker with just doin the carb pollishing, then I droped the piston in and talk about havn to get the gear down again tring to remember it hits the rev faster, took a while of hitting the rev limiter but i got the shift points down now

GOOD LUCK

The 350's engine is a slow revving engine from the factory, so I think that makes a lighter piston a worthwhile advantage.

I wouldn't recommend polishing the carb though, with some machines it can make jetting real touchy, because the turbulence caused by the rougher surface in the carb helps mix the air and fuel better.

thats true but i also gained 1.3 hp by doing that, and us drag guys will take all we can get (and jetting is complicating on it one day its fine the next ill have to go bigger or go smaller, but that doesnt take long to accomplish)

What happened to your Raptor that you already had to tear apart the engine (it's only an 05')? Was just wondering
