Buddy just got a BF750 and was wondering wich spring to use. He is putting 26" Mud Lites and does not want to lose and top end. I told him to get a Dalton Blue Orange. What do yall think? I have a BF650 but I figured they are close to the same and that spring would work for him too.

 

I have the Dalton O/B primary spring and it definitely has some stall effect, so it may not be a good choice if your friend does not like springs with stall effect. I prefer a no stall spring and I am currently using the BF750 stock spring on my TP700 with heavy 25" Bighorn radials and I like this spring alot. Before that, I tried the EPI Maroon (a no stall spring) with some lighter 25" tires and it revved too much for my quad...(but I have to admit that the mid range power was pretty darn good with the Maroon). Honestly, I've found that its mostly a trial and error process to pick the right primary spring for your particular quad and riding conditions and there are lots of different springs to choose from.

Dalton makes the blue primary which is a low stall spring that is lower on the shiftout than the EPI Maroon, however the Dalton blue has a lot of engine braking that is quite annoying when used with the KEBC. The Dalton blue is the spring of choice for the guys that are running without the KEBC. I have the Maroon in mine and have been pleased. It also has adequate engine braking ifyou want to disable the KEBC.

 

I think I am going to get him the Dalton Blue/ Orange. He won't mind the stall. All he does is race, ride wheelies, spin tires, and sh_t like that.

Where did you get that twin air kit you have in your signature?

 

I got it through my dealer. You can take a look at them on the twinair site. They are a little pricey, but I ended up getting a smokin deal on mine because the dealer quoted the whole system for the price of the replacement filter. IMO it is the best filter system available for the BF750.
