i am sorry, this is a 2 stroke, i need a cdi, the one on it looks like it got crunched but i am not sure if it works yet or not, it needs a front left lower strut/axle i think in the book they call it steering knuckle, it is the part the axle goes into and holds the brake and the spring and shock sit on top, also need a pet **** lever to turn the fuel on and off, and a battery, also is there a way to make sure this is a 97, the ser # is stamped under the seat 4XAAA25C6VC004163 and the numbers on the engine are mod#1341151 ser# 96-06893

On the polaris trailboss , its easy to tell things by the vin,

the first 3 numbers on the vin are world MFD ID numbers
the 4th number is the body style
the 5th is powertrain
numbers 6 and 7 are engine, which for yours is a 25 which is 250cc

number 8 is emissions
number 9 is nothing
the tenth number is the model year , yours is a Y I beleive Y was a 95 or 97 not sure but I can look it up later if you want.
the 11th number is the plant number where your quad was made
numbers 12 through 17 are serial numbers

hope this helps you ,
FYI , ebay has every part you will need for your trailboss , cheap to , give it a try.
