My wife bought me a 2000 Rancher ES 4x4 for my birthday. (I turn the big 40 tomorrow.) I've had it for a weeks now.
Well anyway, took the wife for her first ride today and wouldn't you know......the first problem with it while she's along. I pulled up to a flooding river with the front wheels almost in the water and it wouldn't go into reverse. NOTHING. It would shift into all the other gears, but just not reverse. Man was I PI$$ED!! So I just came straight home and did a quick search on here, and WOO-HOO!! There's LittleBill and Fairfax talking about this wire on the back of the engine.
Yep, it was off the post somehow, I cleaned it up, snapped it back on and everything is beautiful again!!!
Man I love you guys!!
