Calling all Sportsman X 500 HO quad riders. I have a question about the wiring of your warn winch. I can not get my winch wired correctly. After the winch stopped working last season, I bought a new contactor. I am getting ready to go to Haspin in IN in a couple weeks and I can only get the winch to work in one direction. I can get it wired so that I can get it to spool out or, but not and!, spool in. I have done every possible conbination of wiring I can try and I can not get it to work. Please post suggestions, or, if you could, snap a picture for me so that I can look at your wiring! Thanks!

 

Hey man, let us know when you will be down to Haspin. I live about 30 minutes away and haven't been for a ride in over a month. Which winch do you have? Have you tried looking at the Warn site for some assistance? I had to call their customer service once and they were very helpful.

 

We are going down the 6/8/06, and will be riding the 9th, 10th, and 11th. Let me know if you want to hook up, we ride with a group out of NY and they LOVE the deep mud. Its always a good time to ride with new people.

The winch is a Warn 2.0. The Sportsman X has a unversial mount standard with the quad so you could mount the winch either on the front or the back with a couple of pins.
