Default Sp500 swamped

Hey, I have a 2004 sportsman 500 that i happened to submerge in water yesterday. Basically it started to float and I bailed off. Anyway it stalled and I pushed it out and it started right up and ran fine aside from having to drain the belt case. Should I drain the oil or anything else? The level seemed fine but you never know. Any tips would be appreciated.

Definately change the oil, and pay attention to the color of it. If its milky, you are going to have to keep changing it until its normal(meaning all water is gone). Also, change your air filter, assuming it got wet.

did it stall because the exhaust was under water or because you sucked the water in the air box? check your oil and see if its higher then its suppose to be and like he said see if its white. if yes to either one you got water in the oil. ive swamped my old 500 once and it stalled (came in the exhaust under water) but didnt get any water in the oil.

Oil level looks fine and so does oil. It stalled because of the tail pipe not the air box. The air filter seems fine and it seems to run normal.
