i have a 97 warrior and i just recently rode it for the first time this year. I rode it for a while before realizing that there was a steady flow of gass coming out of the runoff hose located at the bottom of my carb. I took it apart and sprayed it out with an air compresser and then carb. cleaner.i also took out the jets and sprayed them too but when i put them back in i just screwed them down and didnt do it to any certain specification, does this matter? I checked the tang and it was set in the right place and there didnt seem to be anything wrong with the float either. What else could be the problem, What will i have to replace. Also would buying a bigger jet kit increase speed or power or how does that work? Any advice would be much appreciated, Thanx.

If the fuel is coming out of the overflow hose from the bowl, take the carb apart again and take the float out. Take the needle out also that the float attaches to and inspect the fuel infeed for dirt. If it is clean try gently turning the carb upside down. If you can hear the float moving back and forth then aleast you will know that the float is not getting hung up. Hope this help

ok iit seems that the float may be sticking a bit, just do what the first replied stated...as for the bigger jets=more power, yes but u will need a k&n air filter to produce more air-flow to accomadate all the gas the bigger jet will feed. dynojet probably makes a kit for the warrior. hope u get it fixed
