Default 02 Sportsman 500 Snorkle Question

I am posting this because all the snorkle posts are dead, old, or unanswered.

I need some pics/suggestions on how to do my snorkle. I am trying to run my snrkle on my 02 sportsman 500. I want to do it right, without 90 degree angles, 2" pipes, hiden until they have to go straight up, etc etc etc. Now that I have stopped dreaming, can anybody link me to some pictures of how other members have done theres. Any help would be apprecaited!

Default 02 Sportsman 500 Snorkle Question

I checked out your pics. My question is this: are you haveing any problems getting hotter air into your air box because the snorkle is running right next to your exhaust? Did you use a different type of pipe or wrap it in anything to deflect the heat? That is my main concern with running the snorkle that direction. Also, nice pics and great bike!

Nice ride sportsman7. I like how you did most of your snorkle and I am taking mine in that direction, using the flex hose and PVC for the turns. What did you use to seal the hose into the PVC?

I used 2" Fexible pvc hose and it glues right into the pvc fittings.

I used all purpose pvc glue. You have to glue it and leave it awhile before you disturb it. Mine is holding up great. You are using the flexible pvc pipe aren't you?

Actually I am using 2" Flexible Suction hose instead of the PVC hose. I am thinking about trying the instant apoxy.
