What does everyone think about the NEW CAN-AM RENEGADE 800?

I for one am excited about this one! Very interested in seeing a test on it. If it looks as good as I think, the ole BF750 might be on the chopping block! Anyone have any more info on this new model? Can't wait to see how it does.

Looks like a utility with a sport quad appearance. Looks very interesting. I'm sure that motor is very powerful. Now if Bombardier can make a few sports quads ....

I'd like it if they made it with a manual clutch, a solid rear axle, chain drive, and no 4X4.... oh yea thats the DS800 that we were all hoping for.

FatHolly,
I was thinking the same thing. It does look sharp tho. Innovative.. the "we follow no one" thing defintely struck true there.

I think there are many pluses to it,
Its in that area with the V-force and Scramblers, for those that want an auto, and also for all those mud slingers who get utilities and strip off the racks for there nasty terrain stuff well here is one all ready for them. 25" tires, 4x4 selectable, and still a little rack on the back for a cooler. Its an awesome quad for those wanting all that and killer power to boot.
And the fact that it exists makes it even more likely that if a DS800 is created it surely will not be auto. I mean no sense in creating an almost the same machine by putting the same auto 800 motor in a DS chassis. So this new Renegade is almost like assurance that if a DS800 is created it will be a manual shift chain drive. Of course that's a big if, but I am still holding out hope that the new BMW F800 side by side twin 6 speed chain drive will find its way into the DS frame. Maybe I'll be holding my breath for a long time, but that's my dream anyway.

It just needs to be lighter...isn't it close to 600lbs dry...my KQ 700 is 602 dry. But I'm sure that monster 800cc engine would make me forget of the extra weight. Seems like if you went in the mud with it you'd have no fender protection so you'd be covered in mud..but hey I bet it'd get through anything!!!! Sure I'd take one!!!
