dont get stuck in the mud w/ this bike and expect to back out. that studip piece of sh.. rev limit on this thing and no override sucks. i cant understand why alomost every other bike has them and these dont. i guess you cant by pass them either from what i undersatnd. anybody figued a way yet? please post it you you did thanks

i feel ya, Bruin has same problems. Theres a rev bybass on ebay just give a quick search.

hey thanks alot. will this mod work on the 06 kodiak 400 and a 02 450 kodiak as well?

i have allready done it on my 06 grizz& it cost about 3 bucks i still have to do it to my wifes 05 kodiak but i'm not sure about the 400 & as for the 02 the web site has a page for older models too

so i guess it sounds like it works on the grizz only then. thanks for the info. the sight only talks about the grizz is all i found.

You can definately do this to an 06 400. It's takes about 5 minutes, the only prob is you lose your reverse indicating light on the dash. If you know your quad, it shouldn't be a prob. Besides, there's no forward indicating light... right? It's probably the best thing I have done to mine. I thought I would miss the light, but I don't. It's so much easier than having to hold an override button too. Just do a few searches and you'll find step by step instructions with pics...

i.m going to hatfield & makcoys for a week when i get back i,ll try to do my wifes 450 kodiak & i'll let you know how i make out but if a 400 can be done and the grizz why can't the 450 be done & on the 450 all the gear selections have a light so when your in reverse & the light isnt on then you know your in reverse its a good trade off
