Freind considerring Outlaw, need some opinions please!

First off, i do know that these answers can be foudn on Predator owners but i cannot seem to register there. i have tried 4 times w/ 4 different email addresses, and have even emailed their tech support, but recieved no reply. That is why most all of my Predator questions wind up here.
Anyway: As it says in the title, I have a freind who is considerring an outlaw. Our group is a pretty fast one and consists of 3 preds and a YFZ450. This machine is an interesting addition to it and i was wonderring how well it would compete with us. I know in tight woords trails and stuff he'll have an advantage, but what about the long, wide sand trails up in Baldwin, MI? Or what about XC racing? as we're all looking at getting into hare-scrambles. I know these things have awesomely plush suspension, but how do they feel at speed? also is Powesliding "different" or is it impossible? I've heard it both ways, but i don't credit most magazine testers with an overabundance of riding ability. (sorry guys, but until Doug Meyers can actually finish some sort of competetive event on a sport ATV, he and others like him cannot be looked to for advice on sport machines.) One other thing: one of the most fun things we've don in a while was making a grand-prix roadl-like track in my dad's 30acre corn field. Two of us preds were front runners, followed by the YFZ, then the other guy on the pred. These races essentially came down to rider ability, because all of these machines were pretty closely matched, in this setting would the outlaw compete? Essentially what i'm asking is: The outlaw will best the Pred in really rough terrain, but what about decently smooth stuff, such as roaring across a field? will it have the acceleration and Cornering ability necessary to compete with us? THanks a LOT for the information! while i'm kinda knowledgabel about Predators, i don't want to tell this friend of mine to go for the outlaw over our preds, then have it not compete with us in the riding we do. Thanks again!
P.S. Sorry for the lengthy read.

i would say it should do as good as the preds if not better in most of the terrains and conditions and as far as power its got the same as the pred if not a little more with the airfilter they come with, and heck if u wanted more a slipon pipe with this motor really wakes it up... as far as powersliding one of hte outlaw guys will have to key in with some input, ive heard mixed opinions on that

it powerslides but differently, if he has riden other independant suspension setups he will take to it quicker. the tranny is geared about the same as the tle, but a little slower due to the added wieght. its also easily awaken, with a pipe and air box mod. in the end it comes down to rider ability. some people just never get the nack of riding certain things. which is why i think there is a lot of polaris bashers out there

what pipe are you talking about adding to the outlaw? I have an outlaw stock and drive with a pred and a 700 vforce the outlaw is way slower than the pred and 700 kawi.

from a few people:
outlaw50:
If you can get your a$$ up off the seat and move over top of a fender the Outlaw will slide just fine.
lookatitgo156:
tap the rear brake, slide ur *** out and the outlaw will follow
Out-Law:
It slides great but will occasionally grab. It is best advised to have your *** off the seat as outlaw50 said or else it might toss you. But yes it slides just fine
Biker Glasses:
The Outlaw was my first quad (i'm 27). My friend also bought a Honda 450R right after I got my Outlaw. I love the power of the Honda but am very happy with the ride and power of my Outlaw. I don't regret the decision. Doing jumps and certail trails on the 450R hurt compared to riding my Outlaw. So I think it's a great bike for someone who's not a teen anymroe, and someone who wants nice power and a great ride.
zman-az:
I hear ya Biker Glasses. I'm 37 and wanted a plush ride with ground clearance for the mountain trails here in norther AZ yet the ability to jump and play hard. The Outlaw delivers.
