Default PISMO - IMPORTANT QUESTION

So if there is a limited number of spots/rigs that they let in... are they going to let me and Mario into the beach area with my flat bed trailer? Never been to Pismo, just a little iffy on how it's run...

Let me know........

For Fri/Sat nite you need to make reservations. The other days you can show up and pay. Holidays you pretty muc have to get reservations way in advance.

Default PISMO - IMPORTANT QUESTION

There are two different passes. One is a day pass, I think they rarely ever sell out of thoses. You can be on the beach in the morning but you have to be off the beach by 11pm (don't quote me on the time).

The overnight pass is what sells out quick. This weekend is already sold out. So that means if you do not have reservations and you want to camp on the beach over night, you could get a large fine.

Since you guys are not camping on the beach, you can just buy day passes at the ranger booth when you enter the beach. You have to buy a pass for each truck so you should try to take the least amount of trucks on the beach to save money.

I am not going to be able to make, got to do that family thing that weekend. Make sure you guys get lots of photos for us who can't make it.

You can't reserve day passes nor do you need to. You simply drive to the enterance to the beach, there is a small ranger toll booth where you pay your fee.

Those of you who have reserved an overnight passes but are not camping on the beach, you can you the overnight pass to get you in during the day to. The overnight reservation is basicly a 24 hour pass.
