Default Exhaust Coatings

Hi,
We went raceing this weekend and I won a certificate for $200.00 worth of coatings. I have nothing elce to do with this except coat my raptor 660R Pipe and headers, witch I have the stock pipe because I dont like the noise aftermarkets bring. I would like to know if this would be a good ideal and what kind of gains I will be able to get, or if I should just sell it on Ebay for 100.00 bucks. I have noticed some people also coat there pistons and atherthings for performance gains. Have anayone elce done this to theres?
Thanks,
Rob

yeah go ahead and get it done, i have it done to my CT pipe and i love it, its stays much cooler, also get them to cost the inside as well. Remove the discs before dropping it off. They say that if the exhaust is able to escape better(which it will) with exaust coating you will gain some power, i dont know about all that, but i do notice how it feels agaist the leg its much cooler, you chould be able to shut off your bike and with in 30 seconds grap the pipe..no problem. Oh and if you have $200 is coating certificates, good luck cuz teh pipe and header are only going to run you about $40.

Ya I know it will cost me like 40 for the header and pipe so I was thinking on geting my shock springs coated with this cromex witch makes it look like highly polished aluminm and also I might get the rims done with that too. They have all these internal coatings for the pistons and valves and the skirt and all that. Dose that improve performance or anaything or not worth wasteing my time?

Where would you go to get your exhaust coated?
do you go to any fourwheeler shop and just ask for them to coat your exhaust?

well my certificate is for a shop thats about 1 hr away from my house and they specialize in coating things. (www.QCcoatings.com) They coat cars motercycles and all types of things. I would just google Exhaust coatings and see what comes up. I have decided to bring mine in and have my entire exhause done in this cromex witch looks like crome. I am also geting all the bumpers done and the shock springs. I dont think I would get there internal coatings for the pistons atleast not with a 5 year old piston. If I were gonna do that id get a willso high comp piston. Anayhow im going to bring it in after we go to the dunes so ill tell you guzs how it looks after I get it done.
