All,
Seriously, what do you think about an independent body reviewing these quads. Grade them on dependability, ruggedness, part support, assembly and assistance. I just think too many people are getting dupe and it is time that we come up with a review system to assist future buyers. Also, this will help facilitate the chinese into making higher quality bikes quicker or let everyone know the models that are already there. I'm thinking of fronting 15k and buying various quads and then sell them after they are graded. Eventually, companies will send them to us and we'll grade them at no cost. Ones that don't will be ducking accountabilty WE'LL post our reviews and eventually the makers will need mine or OUR endorsements in order to sell the product. Please let me be clear...THE BEST WARRANTY IS ONE YOU NEVER NEED TO USE! Seadog

I think its already being done. On this forum and many others. The good machines are floating to the top and the others are fading away, or changing their name and making a return. What would make you any more independent than some one who buys one or two of these for their kids?

Sir,
For every posting here, there are another 1000 bikes/quads not posted. And, for those quads that try to change their name, but try to peddle the same junk...we'll be after them. We are going to post detailed photos so they'll know which is which and who is BS'ing who. I agree with you though, this is still a good forum. But again, I say the best warranty is the one never used...or the hassle of getting it. SEADAWG

So you want to form the "Consumers Reports" for Chinese OHV's?

I still say it is being done already on this and many other forums. And even though only a few post, look at how many people "view" the thread.

And its real nice to be called sir.

I think if you could buy a bunch of competing models at once and compare them to one another, it would be beneficial.

i think what seadog means is that if everyone/"cheap atv dealers" would send him a free quad to beat he'll tell us the pro's and cons

He said he'd front $15k and buy them.

Wish I had the money to do tests like that.

All,
I do want to beat the hell out of them...eventually, they will give us their quads for a period of time. The 15k is to get them off the bench. I think we have some good quads and some good dealers...but we have some that suck and I want to expose them. It is not that I want to waste 15k, but after being honest and doing a good job, I'll get that money back and I/WE will be taken seriously. They will not be able to prey on people like me Sir is a term of respect SEADAWG
