well the other day i had a few complaints filed agienst me for distruction of property and road rage witch were really my fault so the cop came to my house and looked my quad over and charged me for thoughs plus no regustration and an ilegal decible level on my pipe and now my parent ernt letting me ride till fall so im just gonna sell my quad an buy a truck but im not sure how much my quad is worht it has all the mods below and is in showroom condition and is an 01.....i was think around 3500 but what do u guys think

 

The simple answer is less than it should be, but theres a lot to it, and maybe since your in NY you will be able to get a little more than some others in differnt areas.

Your guess wouldnt be a bad starting price, but since the newer 450's have been out the prices on used 400's has dropped, and a lot, and you may have to accept a lower price if you still want to sell it when your current problems are not as current and everyone calms down some.

I have to admit your situation stinks, but I am also glad your learning the hard way etc because stuff like that stinks for all of us because it makes us all look bad, but still I hope your able to work things out in court so that you dont get totally screwed and have to pay more than your atv is worth in fines.

Back to the value of the 400 since it is really your question.

I know with mine the mods are actually part of the problem since there is little return on all that money that was invested if sold as a complete unit. Many times the parts are worth much more than whole thing, and that is why you see so many parted out on ebay (and ofcourse the crooks too).

Condition plays a big part in it also, and if everything is well maintained, and looks to be that way too it can bring in some more $$$$, but a big part of any modded machine is that you have everything looking "right" as most people are afraid of something that has been messed with unless it appears to have been properly.

Around here they are going for around $2500-$3200 depending on many things.

 

that sucks i hate neighbors like that i would just say 3500 and take the best offer because no matter what people are not going to meet your price

 

3500 seems about right but i have ben trying to sell my 2004 ex for 3500 and it has more mods and nobody has wanted to pay anymore than like 3300 i would try selling it on want ad digest and see what peopel offer you
