Default 660 hmf Noise level

I was looking at the HMF slip-on for my raptor. I mostly ride trails and i was just wondering how loud the hmf slip-on is, is it to loud for trails?

anything is loud on a 660, and with the hmf being one of the loudest exhausts, yeah it's pretty damn loud. Everyone's definition of what's "too" loud is different, but even with the quiet core I wouldn't pick the hmf for trail riding. I have an hmf on my warrior, which is quieter than the 660, and i'm getting a quiet core for when I go trail riding. Don't get me wrong, the HMF is wicked, but you can get annoyed of it after a few hours.

My Griz is loud with the HMF slip on .Thats also with the quiet core in . Most of my friends like it ,some of them dont, the older crowd doesnt. What ever you do dont use it with out the Q core or you wont be able to stand the noise. You need the q core when you are driving certain trails to meet the noise level restrictions.

cheap and reasonably quiet don't go together. Out of all those you picked WB is probably the quietest, but still not that quiet. I'd go with either an fmf Q series, pro circuit 496 (i think it's 496 anyways), just a quiet series exhaust. Just a quiet core doesn't do much, if noise is an issue either keep the stock one, or spend some more money and get one that was designed to be quiet.

I have the stock exhaust mod on my grizzly would buying the hmf with the quite core be much louder than my stock exhaust mod because my grizz seems awful loud and if the hmf is close to the noise level i currently have then i might as well buy the hmf to get the extra power. check out my vids the ones labeled marshview 002 and marshview 003 are best to hear my grizz. Thanks My Vids

u should just get the hmf, i have a raptor 660 and i love the hmf it sounds so much better and it has more power, when ur on the bike it not so much louder the the original exhaust when u have no spark arrester in the original pipe. so i think u should just get the hmf

HMF with the core is somewhere around 97 dB. That is loud, but will pass at many places.
