bump. This is my cousin's 4 wheeler. Basically the quad will start up, but giving it gas will make the engine bog down.

Anyone know the problem?

Thanks,

Aaron

Check for a plugged vent hose on the carb.

ITS A CLOGGED AIR FILTER. I know this becuase it took me awhile to figure mine out. After running it wideopen road riding for ten miles I let off and slowed down to turn onto a side road and blaaaa wouldnt do ****. I thought I fried the cdi but then thought it wouldnt run at all, It was exactly like the rev limiter was kicking in as soon as you give it throttle! Took the plug out and put a new one in started it and didnt do a dang nit of difference. Then pulled it out and it was blacker than black so i knew it was either too much gas or not enough air(same difference) Took that airbox lid off and there was alot of seeds in there from before. Its as good as new after I cleaned the K&N filter. Best of luck, I am willing to bet this is what happened. Brian
